About us

Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC) is a leading Australian managed, UK owned Agribusiness with strong ESG values. CPC owns and operates a portfolio of ten station aggregations in Australia and two feedlots in Indonesia. Across more than 4.3m hectares of land, the CPC team care for more than 300,000 head of cattle, 50,000 goats, 25,000 sheep and produce a diverse range of crops.

About you

Your key duties and tasks

Kitchen

  • Prepare, cook and serve healthy, nutritious and balanced meals
  • Cater for fifteen people (sometimes more)
  • A strong focus on food safety standards and food handling.
  • Maintain a clean and structured, fully equipped kitchen
  • Coordinate the ordering of the dry stores (groceries), fruit and vegetables and maintain adequate supplies to ensure variety within budget, using seasonal produce

Garden

  • General upkeep, tidiness and maintenance of the kitchen complex
  • Mowing lawn areas
  • Pruning, hedging, brush cutting, planting, litter and leaf removal (using powered and unpowered tools)
  • Watering of lawns and plants (along with fertilizing lawns)
  • Report and perform reactive maintenance
  • Carry out other duties around the station as required

What you will need

  • Genuine interest in working and living on a remote cattle station
  • Passion for food and cooking and experience as a chef, cook, kitchen hand or similar
  • Ability to work outdoors in the garden - mowing, brush cutting, hedging, watering

Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding job that includes both indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather and temperature environments.

This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will be expected to be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull from 10-20 kilo's and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders.
